Privacy, plainly

We ask for a username and password, not your email or phone number. There is no password recovery. Chat content and media are encrypted in your browser before storage. The invitation link carries the room key; anyone you share it with can attempt to claim the room until it is claimed.

At room expiry, Katzar blocks access and deletes active messages and media. Voice notes are removed after eight hours or room expiry. Cloudflare backups may retain encrypted historical data temporarily. People can keep screenshots, copied text, downloaded files, or captured audio. No app can erase those copies.

Files download when you choose to download them. Voice has no download button, but recording or browser capture remains possible.
